Huron, Ohio- Vizsla Club of America National Specialty and OH what a Nationals it was! We had a great time and so did the dogs. I took Tess, (grandma), Dagger and Ditto and Howard brought Lily (Tess daughter and mother to Dagger, Ditto, Topper and Terra) and Topper, and Haley and her Mom Candy and Aunt Kathy flew in with Terra. There were almost 500, yes, 500 Vizslas entered so the competition was fierce and the classes were very large.
First Tess, 1st place in the 8-10 year old Veteran Sweepstakes Class, there were 20 in the class!
Next Ditto 2nd and Terra 3rd place in the 6-9 month puppy Futurity Class, there were 19 in the class!
Then Topper 4th place in the 6-9 month puppy Sweepstakes Class, there were 19 in that class too!
Next Dagger made the cut to the end in a class of 20 in the Bred By Exhibitor Class.
Finally Lily, AWARD OF MERIT out of a group of more than 150 CHAMPIONS!
Also Terra handled by Haley was 2nd in the juniors class, Haley handled Terra the entire time.
Topper was handled by Howard and I handled Dagger, Ditto, Tess, and Lily.
Needless to say I am quite proud of the dogs and the job everyone did. A special thanks to Kathy and Candy for all the help and support throughout the week!

Brooksville, Florida - My Grand Champion Ty did very well, he won the breed several days including the last two days with 4 specials in the ring. He was also pulled in the Group in very tuff east coast competition. He finished the month as the number one ranked AKC German Pinscher. Two of my puppies from the January 2011 litter finished their championships, Chip and his littermate sister Olive, you can see their photos under Boy and Girls show wins. Their sister Flash left Florida with both of her majors and just needs 5 singles to finish her championship. Also a Brutus son(Ty's brother) Ranger finished his championship handled by his owner and my friend Linda Ford, Linda co-owns Olive with me. We are done showing for January, we will see soon what February has in store for us! Thank you to Linda for her help in and out of the ring, and to her husband Rick who also helped in the ring, and to my fellow exhibitors and supportors.
